i saw speed racer the other day. it was surprisingly good. there were quite a few nods to the older series hidden here and there, on par with the remakes of tv shows. thing is though, i'm not sure if i think it was really good cause i went in with low expectations (although i had high ones for the actions scenes and were not dissapointed) or if it was genually good. it is a kids movie after all, so the bar isn't supposed to be extremely high. meh. i liked it, and saw some very good previews comin up.
